Planning ahead?

Feeling lost in the decision about feeding?

Struggling to get the hang of latching and/or pumping, and need help?

Doing well and just need some reassurance?

Planning to return to work soon?

Breastfeeding(chestfeeding) and expressing your milk are beautiful things, and can be a true gift to your baby. However, no matter how natural the act of is, it’s no secret that they are skills that may require some practice and refinement.

Lake Lactation provides in-home and telehealth visits to support families on their lactation journey in areas of Ohio, including western Cleveland, Lakewood, and surrounding areas.

Note: Locations more than 30 minutes from western Lakewood may require an additional travel fee. Locations more than 45 minutes from Lakewood may be accommodated, but are not guaranteed.

Visits during non-traditional business hours and same-day appointments are often available, so don’t hesitate to reach out if an unplanned visit is needed.

Prenatal Consult

Discuss your feeding plans and any special circumstances that may require specific
planning. These may include first time breastfeeding/chestfeeding, past feeding difficulty,
history of breast surgery, parental or infant health complexities, or simply to
set you up for the best start possible for your lactation experience.

Initial In-Home Lactation Support

This visit establishes your care with a thorough history and assessment of your breastfeeding, chestfeeding, or breastmilk feeding needs. This is intended to address current difficulties and collaboratively establish a plan for feeding.

Follow-Up Visit

Many lactation issues may require follow up care to work through issues and make adjustments to the plan.
This visit may also be used later in your journey to prepare for changes in your schedule, such as return to work.

Initial in-home visit is needed to establish care if not previously established.

Pumping Consult

Did you know that the pump and flange size can make or break your milk supply? Pumping consults can help you make sure that you’re using the correct flange size and that you are optimizing the time you spend pumping to make sure you’re getting as much milk as you can for your baby. Pumping consults focus on pumping specifics, so you can feel confident that your time is time well spent!
